Start from the bottom and work your way to the top

The first thing to do when starting your refereeing career is choose where you want to work. The teams and players aren't real, but they are still adapted to the selected country. Once you have chosen your country, you can start refereeing friendly matches between lower league rivals. These matches are simple to referee, without a great deal of pressure, but they will allow you to get used to the game.

Lots of difficult decisions

The way matches work in Football Referee Lite is simple: you can see how the match is playing out at all times and, at certain points, an indicator will let you know that something has happened. When you tap on this indicator you will be able to read exactly what happened. Depending on what it says you will then have to make a decision. Normally, your options are to ignore it, issue a verbal warning, give a yellow card or give a red card. The better you do, the more points you will get at the end of the game.

Create your own personality

One of Football Referee Lite's most fun elements is giving your referee a personality. After making a decision, you can have a quick word with each player. Here you can show what kind of referee you really are. You can offer advice, remain silent, be kind or be very assertive. You choose how you want the players on the pitch to perceive you.

Referee historic games

In addition to officiating within a league and progressing as the matches progress, in Football Referee Lite you can referee some historic international matches. You can referee the final of a World Cup or the European Championships, with the players who played in those matches. Whether the result stays true to the original or changes radically will depend entirely on your decisions.
